Discover ASICS' next step to a truly eco-friendly shoe
The NIMBUS MIRAI™ running shoe is a highly cushioned, neutral trainer that is also ASICS' next step toward creating truly zero-waste athletic footwear. It begins at the top, with an upper made of 100% recycled content and only one type of polyester to make it easier to recycle.
The upper attaches to the sole with a heat-sensitive glue that makes it easier to separate and repurpose the parts as part of our take-back program. Plus, the FF BLAST™ PLUS ECO cushioning, designed to create a lightweight and responsive toe-off, is engineered with 24% bio-based content.
We use a solution dyeing process for the sockliner that reduces water usage by approximately 33% and carbon emissions by approximately 45%, when compared to conventional dyeing techniques.
